Torture Museum
10 Florianska Street, Cracow
ENTERTAINMENT THAT WILL TAKE SHIVERS DOWN YOUR SPINE
AS THE OLD PROVERB SAYS: EARLY TO BED, EARLY TO RISE MAKES THE EXECUTIONER SWAT YOUR HEAD... OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
The Torture Museum is a collection of 20 reconstructions of torture instruments, enhanced by rich descriptions, educational films and an executioner figure. The first group of tools was used to carry out the main punishment, which was death. The second one was established for imposing testimony and plead guilty, and the third, the most gentle one, for scolding in terms of honour. All the methods outlined, were legally used in criminal cases across Europe in the Middle Ages and the early Modern Period.
NOT SCARED YET?
OK THEN, WELCOME TO OUR HUMBLE ABODE.
If you feel like roaming the market square in Krakow, be prepared to be accosted by smugglers in hoods… or executioners. It all comes to the same thing. You can hide from both of them in the shadiest place at 10 Floriańska Street.
BUT MAYBE NOT SO HUMBLE...
It’s not difficult to feel a knife…. or a fork at your throat here. Whatever kind of a machete they would poke you with, don’t lose your head because there’s plenty to have your eyes on.
HAHA
HaHa
ha …ha.
FANTASTIC BED! SERIOUSLY.
Pad down, my dear buck, on a torture rack and relax while listening to the moans of the suffering commoners, because who, actually, does not get through tough time these days? Inflation is doing faster than Lewis Hamilton in his primetime, and the will to live is sinking to the bottom just as fast as virgins being sentenced to a water test.
AND A LOT OF WRY FACES.
So as not to crash, buy your tickets in advance and bring your grandmother, your old man, your neighbour’s cousin’s brother-in-law, living at 4 and a random anybody. Go ahead… that’s our thing.
FIND IT TO YOUR COST...
OUR EXECUTIONER’S DRY WIT!
For more of this type of humour, you need to pop into the museum. As it happens in life, nothing comes for free, and our executioners wisecracks as generously as a local redneck with f***s.
OPINIONS OF THOSE WHO SAVED NECK...
An interesting attraction on the map of Cracow, you can learn a lot.
Very nice exhibits!
You can learn interesting things about the past!
the whole thing is very interesting and nicely done, but I think that the price per person should be lower by about PLN 10 or PLN 15 (taking into account the location). But it's still an interesting museum, you can learn a lot 🙂
The ticket price includes:
- Entrance to the museum.
- The opportunity to meet celebrities of the Middle Ages – the Zbych executioner and his most dear helper.
- Listening to the best compilation of dad jokes and emanating sounds in the background.
- Finding the torture devices to your own cost.
- And a HUGE dose of knowledge that isn’t discussed at school.
